Week 61-62

Hey everyone. Happy New Year! HOws it going? here its cool a lot of garbage in the street last night and theres a ton of drunks in the street too also from last night. So i havent written in two weeks, its cause i didnt have permision. but I hope yall passed a happy Christmas and a new year .

So, this area is kinda hard to work in. Theres a ton of aldeas and we always go out there to work, and thepeople maybe receptive but they never come to church cause they dont have money and they dont have cars, and im sure that they could find a little bit of money to pay for a bus, its just the peo´ple here go to whatever church is closest. so they say in the other churchs that its good just to listen to the word of god and the go to these buildings or they call em temples because another false belief that everyone has down here is that one is the church. haha. they say, "how can you invite me to church,. I am the chruch. "

but so in this aldea called villa elisia we found two people that are really good. the first one is starting to go to the mennonite church and shes trying to find the truth and she really likes what we teach but shes praying and just waiting for the answer. and the other that we found, she is really good, named, Dilsia and she is very very evangelica. but she wanted to hear us, so we shared the lesson about the restoration. and she just stopped us in the lesson and said, "i like this. I like this. Im gonna forgive some people and i need to be forgivin. then i will be baptised." and so we said,"you wanna get baptised this 27 of Jan." she said yeah. so we just gotta get her married. whcih is said to be really easy here in this area for the support of the members.

also we have been teaching a youth named Ezequiel. and he really wants to be baptised but his dad doesnt want that cause his uncle is a pastor so its kinda difficult but, yesterday he came to church outta no where. just showed up. and he hadnt been going to church lately so it was cool to see him there.

so yeah, super happy to be here in Honduras to start another year serving the lord.

love yall

Week 60

Hey yall. Wow i cant believe its christmas already (well almost) and i just feel so grateful to be here. well this week has been more relaxed up until last night. we been locked in and we will probably enter at 5ish today for the danger. but were fine. nothing will happen to us. its just sad for the other people, how they cant live in a peaceful place.

well this week was kinda tough, we lost some of our investigatores. and we contacted all week, we talked to a lot of drunks and havent found anyone yet but were still in it and we´ll find someone!

so one of the drunks wanted to listen to us, so i thought, "its not often when somebody invites us to speak with them" so we went, and we chatted then he got mad when we said that if he didnt stop getting drunk he kids wont have a good example and he got mad, gave us a hand shake and said, "if yall think that about me, were done talking so we left" lol then he hugged my comp. haha. the other one was a JW and he said that he didnt like his church and that he fight with his wife and he could exept that Jehova is Jesus. so we went our way and he called us liars haha. I love the people here.

We have been trying to find a guy named Dominique. is from misuri. but his mom moved down here with her husband and so he came down too. but guy is cool, its weird to talk in english with him and his mom. His mom recently hated the missionaries, but the other day we helped her bring some books into her house but she was locked out and had to use the bathroom and so i broke into her house for her. then she invited us to dinner and told us a ton of stories about her life, and how she was a trucker and saw crazy things cool lady. but we had to go so we offered a prayer and she said, "when yall wanna share the word, come over and we´ll be here to listen." little by little. great gal.

hmm, also we have a convert here who had cancer and we just decide to visit her and we had no idea that she had a tumor, but we gave her a blessing and now shes fine. so that was cool. Kinda makes one think. like, she had a ton of faith. and its good that we were there when the spirit told us to get there otherwise she would have had to have a operacion and everything. but now she doesnt.

i love being here, i love the lord and I know that i am doing what he would have me do.

love yall
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Week 59

hey everyone. so im doing fine. life here is good. its almost christmas, but theres not really that feeling in the streets cause all the caos. but for me its fine, im enjoying it. Im actually in one of the coldest places in The country, so im loving it. i have to buy a sweater though.

so this week was good we found so many people who were all super interested, and weve gone to some little aldeas and in one of them called to Socorro we got lost. cause well, we were obviously lost cause we had never been there before, so we just decided to get off the bus and start knocking doors. and the first door we knocked was a lady named Griselda. and dang! this lady is so stoked to hear about the gospel. she loves what we share and asked us half way through our first visit are you guys gonna come back. and dang the way the lord works is special. like we got lost in some mountains and we just said lets talk to her and turns out she really needs Jesus. miracles! wow! jaja

also we found another famly in the Puran. we just started walking and were knocking doors and there was nobody who stood out to me so i wanterd to go up into the Mountian and look around for more humbler homes and then my comp tells me, "no man, lets contact here." so we did, then we found Maira, katia, and Bryan. and they are also really positive. and at first we only taught maira (mom of bryan and katia) and then katia started listening then she said, " I wanna be baptised!" so we gotta get her married and in the water. Its so cool how God works with us. He had prepared these people for a LONG time, she didnt decide to be baptised in that moment but she had been thinking about it for a while and we got there right when she needed a little help and it seems just like it was perfect timing but its a little more than that. we were honestly amazed after finding these people because we saw how we were a little part of Gods plan. I love serving God and have never been happier.

Week 58

Hey everyone. Hows it going? i had a pretty uneventful week, i have been in my house since thursday. theres been a lot of political issues here and we havent been able to leave, haha. But we left today and i feel so good. In the time that we were in the house, i fixed a guitar (it broke again) and i made the shower have hot water, i fixed a dvd player, ive almost finnished Mosiah, started working out, have taken a lot of pictures, played frisbee (almost broke my nose lol) and slept. luckily the members here are golden and they love us they are bringing us food toilet paper and everything. I have been drinking tap water, its supposed to be clean here i feel fine, ( and they dont sell bottle water here haha so theres no choice)

well my comp is cool, we went to tegus, on wednesday, to listen to Elder Cordon. cool guy, we learned a lot. thursday we got shut in. so yeah thats my week.

I love you guys. So glad to be able talk to yall this week. I know that God is watching over us and loves us a lot. I really love him too. and I know that through our faith anything can happen.

Week 57

HEy everyone. This week was something else as which is why im writing yall right now. SO I have no time to write cause the bishop here is weird about the chruch keys and everything. But i dont care, im leaving cuidad españa. So im going to Siguatepeque (or something like that) as a zone leader. Im ready for a change.

But, look. we saw some miracles this week. but the biggest thing that happened was that we went out to tamara and every door we knocked the people talked to us. they have never even heard of, or seen a mormon in their lives. so explaining the resturation of the gospel was super cool. cause the people here, most of them know that we believe in living prophets and that God still talks to us. but these people have never even thought of that. so, at the end of a solid 10 minute contact we left em with eyes big and jaws dropped. im not joking they were just looking at us like they could get enough of what we were saying. There was even a dude i saw on his porch reading the bible, i said to my self, "hes gotta want more if hes reading the bible." so we preached to him and turns out that he was a pastor and preparing for a preachin. But even he recieved us! It was one of the best days of my life.

But theres always opposition, so our investigator didnt get baptised, everything was ready, but his mom called us sunday morning and said, "keiden is sick" (he wasnt really we saw him in the street playing afterwards, she was just mad cause she offered me her daughter and i said NOPE!) so yeah but all in all, it was a great week. and a great short time here in ciudad españa. for sure have seen the Lords had in my life and know that hes protecting me and preparing the people in my path .

Week 56

Hello everyone how is it going? Im fine, this weeek was something else. I have been sdang busy out here being district leader and all. I had so much to do and i couldnt get it all done but still did a lot.

So tuesday we had some lessones, right. We wnet to Paola and she didnt really listen to us and its another week with out going to church so i think we might have a very sincere talk with her about why we are visiting her. I dont know what to do with the gal.

we also went with Danilo, hes doing well. He and his wife have some problems but theyll get it figured out. well, he is reading the book of mormon and reading slowly but he is trying to understnad it all which is cool. He just has some friends who think they know everything about the church but they actually dont and they just try contending with us. We just kinda ignored them and they left.

We visited Daniel yesterday, i was mad at him and didnt wanna visit him, but my comp said lets go. so we went. and we ended up talking to his girlfriend and turns out shes been listening to us and reading and everything and daniel is the one who doesnt want anything lol. weird right? i guess she had listend to the missionaries before and loved the church but just kinda fell away for her mom, but now, shes ready. Whatta cool plan god has.

Wednesday we did nothing cause we had interviews and we had to go to tegus. And in my interview with pres. we talked a lot about the atonement. and it was cool. I love to know that Jesus died for me. Its a cool thing, that just cause of what he did my life is awesome and everyones life can be great if we repent and use the atonment.

Thursday we went on interchanges and i went to the divina and i met a family of like 6 and they alll knnew me. and each kid had a different story of when i met them. (Which i am sure never happened)

And friday i dont know my little hands are tired. But saturday Oscaar was bapitzed!! It was nuts we all were at the church and the was no water so we walked down to the river and the whole world was looking at us, like, "oi. loook at the greeengo pastor gonna go dunk oscar" It was cool, honestly i really felt the spirit there, it was so peaceful. Ill send pics.

but yeah that was my week.
