Week 28

Hey yall. WHat a week! so it started out pouring rain and pretty much every day starts with super sun and ends with rain. i love it here

so we had a baptism this week! it was awesome, we have been teaching 2 girls named Johanna y Paola. They are literally perfect. anyway, we had the baptism and 6 and yall already know, when theres a baptism everything goes wrong. and at first they didnt show up, but they were just late. and right when we started the baptsim, their mom, Blanca. Was in tears so happy that her girls were getting baptised. i had the honor to baptise them both. and everything actually went well.

so okay, omething crazy. we were walking through the street and there was a big ol storm and the streets were rivers. and we saw this guy with his motorcycle tiped over so we went to help him up. and he didnt want our help cause he felt bad. He said, "im super drunk, and i feel ashamed that you guys are serving me." so we wanted to help him more. so we walked his bike back to his house and he invited us in to teach him cause he wants to change badly. And his wife was there and they both listened to our message. and then guy, Alfonzo, says, "look, im from olancho (super tough farmers live there) i have never talked with guys. but i dont know with you guys i feel peace" and then when he prayed, in his prayer he started crying and thanked god for the angels in his house.
We are people and for sure not angels, yall know me and know i am very imperfect but, what a change the gospél can bring right? This tough dude, praying very sincerely. oh man. i love helping people. the mish is the coolest thing in the world.

Lightning almost struk a houe i was in. it was so loud it sounded like a super loud zipper. and the thunder was like bombs haha.
we taught the latino elders how to play american football. they loved it haha, i taught my comp smores and rootbeer floats and pancakes cause he wanted to know tipical food of the USA

Love yall

Elder Owen
