Week 46

Hey everybody. So this is the week of changes and im staying here in Cuidad españa, being district leader again. yay, joking. I think my new comp is coming here to die. so that should be cool, i down to have a comp with some expirence, just hope hes not trunky. lol


So this week Rayan got baptised. He was stoked. He got baptiseed at like 8 pm. cause his mom got off of work at that time. and Hia mom aunt and grandma were there which was awesome. And it was a really simple baptism but it was fun. his family is alwasy joking around. and the font is outside and it has been raining a ton so the water came in like mud. it was great. And now hes telling us that he wants to be a missionary.


we have taught some of our new investigatores, like Wendy. Shes a lady who lives in the invasion too. and she a nice gal. But she told us that she couldnt really read and she realy didnt seem like she was listening so we wernt gonna go back. but hen we did for whatever reason and she said she read almost the whole folleto and she was happy to listen and was gonna come to church this week. But then the friend of her who brings her to church said to her (and other investigatores that we have) that there wasnt church so like 4 families didnt go because of that. but oh well, its kinda funny.


Anabeli is doing fine we visited her and her famiy. super humble people and just really happy. they didnt come to church either but its fine. But everytime we talk with her (shes always running in the street) she asks us funny things like this week she asked us if Goku (hes some cartoon guy if yall dont know who goku is) is the devil. haha and she seemed kinda spooked when she said his name like if it was voldemort or something lol.


Elizabeth is doing well too. She say that shes gonna get baptised at the end of this month, and shes just doing fine hah.


i have killed 138 cucaraches i killed a few while cleaning the house this morning


Im healthy happy. safe. all of that stuff. I have enough food and water. im doing fine. I honestly am loving the mish, sometimes i think about how i could ever leave these people, i dont ever wanna come home. haha (sometimes i do) haha

Week 45

Hola everyone. this week was great, as usual. we had a ton of success and we have people who are gonna get baptised, so thats super exciting. We got 11 investigadores in church yesterday, and 9 of them were super into it and wanna learn more.


The one we brought is named Anabeli shes like 11. Shes a girl who always talks with us, and her mom, found us in the street and asked if we could take her to church so we did. And at the end of it, she loved it and had a great time. But at first it was way hard for her, she told us that she got super nervous because she has never seen so many people. (shes from a little part of our pueblo called an invasion. theres no lights or water. their homes are metal or wood shacks) and so seeing so many people was hard for her. and she freaked out about the tolit in the church. and said "that one is really different" and after that she just kinda hid behind me all day. and when we were taking the bread and water, she asked me "are you sure thats water? you drink it first then ill try it." shes super funny, and super positive. she reads all the pamphlets to her family and everything.we just have to meet with them this week and see how things are.


we also met with the Guity gamily. theyre fine, they told us how theyre not too interested, but then told us that they still wanna her more from us. so were pretty confused. but i love em so well go back and see how they are.


Ryan is doing good, ready for his baptism. his grandma is helping him to not drink coffe and to go to church and stuff. and most importantly he is really stoked to be baptised.


but thats about it. my comp is doing fine, one of his birds has died and his uncle died. he laughed and told me hes been waiting for it. i hope hes fine lol

Week 44

Hey everyone. So i guess theres a big ol eclipse right now. People here are spooked. We havent done too much this week my comp has been disanimated. and so we just kinda walk like zombies. But, i spoke to him, so i think that things are gonna get better. Like, were buds but just its alittle tough working with the guy. But, love.


So we FINALLY got a baptism scheduled in Ciudad España. His name is ryan and is stoked to baptise himself. It was literally a miracle. His aunt says, "yall should baptize this niño" i said, "okay" and then he left. and then outta nowhere he sat down and said, "i 10 and wanna be baptised. Im ready to listen." So he will get baptised el 2 de septembre.


We found a family named the family Guity. There from the coast. and well, being out here its hard to get supplies like panphlets and books of mormon. so we got there and the oldest comes out and she says whatda yall want? we said, "we wanna teach you guys" she was chill and let us in. So we start asking them stuff and she said, "i have a book of mormon" another miracle. the belong to a church right now but, they really wanna learn more, and are interested in the book of mormon.


also this week, we contacted a little bit, and during contacting i saw an old shirtless lady, it wasnt pleasant. I said "Buenas" then i saw her and we split. haha not fun
Also a lady tried bashing with us, but she didnt know anything about the bible and cant even read, so i just showed her some scriptures about peace and we left.

Week 43

HEy Hows it going? This week was something else. We worked a lot, but my comp has been sick like stillwith parasitos so well go to the doctor tomorrow, cause we dont have time to leave the pueblo and get to the doc. before he leaves for the day.


So we had a ton of stuff happen first off, met a guy named Angel. Really cool dude, hes really looking for a remision of his sins. so we taught him about baptism and repentance. He was stoked to learn that he could be baptised. But theres one problem, he cant go to church cause he has weekend school (its like summer school) and its 8 to 12 on sundays jaja. so well see right?


As well, I think we might have to stop teaching lady cause she likes to hit on us. She invited us over to poker night. But i said no thnaks. But she said, "If i dont come to church its cause im dead" She didnt come to church, and shes not dead. So she lied twice


We saw one of our investigadores in the street and she walked by, and turned around to talk to us, and she came back and was like, "Hey, I read the chapter. Twice. I liked it" So we were stoked, she read 3 nefi 11, talks about when Jesus comes to america and about the salvacion. and So she just isnt home cause she has to watch this baby who got sick from a cucaracha bite.


We also visited Roberto to see if he was reading and praying. He said that he prayed. That he was up one night at 3am and thought that he should pray. and so I asked, "Do you feel like you got an answer that all this is real?" and he said, "yep, how could you mistake the burning of the spirit, its gotta be true." Cool guy. After that he invited us to go to a thing that hes organizing and he wants us to speak there and teach like a ton of people about Jesus.


Also we went to a different part of the Area called San Miguiel to visit Elizabeth. This girl has known the church for almost a year, was a JW. ANd her whole family is too. But, she wants to change. And so she wants to be baptized but her dad wants to be there, she were gonna wait till september. But she was struggling with somethings, so it was inspiration that we just went over there to see her. And she came to chruch yesterday. And is super happy telling people that she is gonna baptized soon.


Some funny stuff that happened.


I saw two little girls trying to break into a house by throwing rocks at the door.
I saw a little boy step on a nail, and instead of crying or anythng he went inside and just tied it up with a peice of fabric haha.
Also people fight chickens here.

Happy Birthday ma

Week 42

Hey everybody. Whats going on? It was a great week here in cuidad españa. Time is kinda flying by, and i dont know how i feel about it jaja. I mean this week was kinda tough but, were fine. We both got sick. I got food poising for a day or so haha and my comp has a killer cold and paraistos. and he got super disanimated. and told me that he wants to go home. So im just ignoring his negative vibes, and trying to send off only good. But yeah.


So I think i told yall about Paola last week, shes cool. And she doesnt know about Jesus.But she wants to know more. But theres a problem. She has a 17 year old boyf who she breaks up with and then gets back together with and when shes not with him. she is getting with other dudes. And she told us that she has a problem with smoking pot. and cigs. and she likes to drink. haha its fine, we just have to teach her a lot. but we tried setting a goal so that she could stop smoking for 2 days and we´d come back to see how it went. and when we came back she avoided us. so she obvioudly didnt do it. but we had a nice chat with lester (her man) and he seemed kinda interested. so were probably gonna baptize him, joking. but well see where it goes.


We went back to visit Lady. Shes doing well, hasnt read the folleto. But, she is listening to us. And as well as her mom, they say that they want to know more about the scriptures. the bible and the Book of mormon. But, they dont read them, so its kinda confusing. But, Well see, she didnt go to church cause she works. She sells sand that gets washed into the street after rain storms. quality gal, just has to learn to enjoy the dia de reposo.


We also are teaching a kid (14 years old) named richard. Hes interested in the church, was a refrence of some members, but he doesnt want to go to church. As we were walking to chruch we saw him bringing some masa back to his house to make tortillas, and he says to us, "oh if i have time ill get to the chruch today." but he didnt. My comp got super mad and said to me , "everyone acts like making tortillas is the most important thing on earth." but its true, is tortillas or your salvacion more importanta. Everyone here says, "Ill try to go to chruch, i mean, God First, Right? but, only if God wants, ill get there" Obvi God wants you in church. jaja
