Week 37

hey. Im sick today. ive been in bed all day. and only left to write yall and go do some shopping. I think i have chickengunya? something that mosquitos pass.


Dennis is going to get baptised, this saturday. And hes stoked. Im happy that hes gonna be baptised. Hes a great dude, has a lot of problems, but is super faithful and really wants to change his life. And really the best way to change your life is through Jesus and his atonement. I have taught people with nothing. But when we start talking about Jesus, they make it sound like they have everything.

Week 36

Okay everybody! hows it going? this week was great for me. We had changes. Im still here in the Comayagua. Which is awesome this time of year it rains almost everyday. it got down to 22 degrees yesterday! I was pretty dang cold haha. My new comp is called Elder Franco, hes a cool dude. Hes from tabasco mexico. lives on a little island.


We contact a ton, and we teach well. He gets a little frustrated with the people here sometimes. Like we contacted this Lady whos is chritsan and who told us that she "reads the Bible" and told us how she recived the authority of god by accepting him as Jesuscristo. So my comp whipped out his bible and says, "The authority of God can only be transfered through the laying of hands. Howd you get your authority?" she got mad and didnt wanna talk. It was a little funny. a lot of people here just blindly follow thir pastores.


So Waldina did NOT get baptised again. Gee, i was so bummed. Still am haha. But we had got everything planned out we showed up to the chapel (Suprisingly it was closed and the bishop wasnt there, thats a different story) but she called us, crying, and said, "I cant make it today... my husband said that i cant get baptized and cant go to church any more.." She was gonna get baptized in secret but we told her to talk to her husband. And so she did, but maybe we should not have said that haha. But, God has his plan and maybe shes just not ready yet.


So yesterday was sunday. We almost didnt have investigadores in church. But we decided that we would go on to the street infront of the chruch, theres a market there so people always pass, and we just started inviting people in and only one guy came in. Hes named Juancarlos. And he looked homeless. and turns out hes been looking for God. and he liked chruch.


Thats about everything I have.

Week 35

Hey everybody. I had a real interesting week. a lot happeneed. It started out with monday we FINALLY went fishing with a long lost relative who owns an orchard and has lagoons on it with fish. it was awesome, we caught tiny little fish and a huge storm came in. but it was so much fun.


So Dale G. Renlund came to our mission. and it was super great. Guys a stud, for those of you who dont know. Hes an apostol of Jeses Christ. He talked a lot about what our mission needs. Faith. And Love. And talked about how we just cant sneeze faith and love on people and say, "well youve cought the sickness" we really have to spread it (faith and love) through the spirit and our actions.


Waldina did not get baptised. She wasnt keeping all the commandments cause she said she didnt know all of them. It was our fault for not teaching good enough. But shes stoked for this saturday! and were gonna go over and eat lunch with her and shes gonna have her sister bring over her pet monkey so look forward to pics of me and a monkey.


I finally had a meeting with the bishop. For all of you who dont know what a bishop is. its like a pastor but mormon and doesnt live off of ofrendas jaja. and he was fired up to start working with us and leaving to vistit people and haha, he faked sick sunday when we were supposed to have a ward counsel. lol. Hes awesome.


So we almost had investigadores in church yesterday! Almost! but they showed up after the meetings. but they live clear out in nam, where they dont have electricity and wanna learn more. im pummped to go out there and teach them.

Week 34

Hey yall! WHats up? SO this weeek was good. we contacted a ton and are preparing a lady named waldine for baptism this weeekedn. pray for her. she is a great lady and calls us her kids. Gives me tortillas and water. Shes awesome. and she got a pet monky so ill be sending pics with me and a monkey soon.


so this week was funny
a dude got super mad at us cause we visited his wife and talked about the book of mormom. and said that he already has his bible. but we taught him and hes gonna read the BOM to see what it is.


I was walking down the street and this little girl say to her brother. just cause hes white doesnt mean hes a greengo. I passed by and said soy greengo. the poor PC sister looked so shocked. and the little brother was stoked to talk to a greengo haha.


We met a little cowboy of 87 years and he doesnt know how to read and he doesnt go to church cause he doesnt know what the bible says and when we visit him he only wants to listen to us read the bible. good dude.


And something cool happened. we had stake confrence and it was like and hour walking but we had three investigadores in church and one is named dennis. Dennis got kicked outta his house and his wife left him and is looking for work to support his daughter. But he moved in with his sister and came to a Family home evenign of a member menos active. and wants to be baptised. and at church he was loving the talks and started to cry because of what he felt there. solid dude, and is on his way to being converted.
