Week 48

Hey yall. Hows it going? This week was stellar. We had so much good happen. but i dont have time to tell you about it all lol.

So we have an investigador. Wendy is her name. Youve heard about her before. Good lady. Really has the desire to follow God. She has been going through some trials right now, she has some little ones and they all got sick. but like it was something serious. But God has been looking out or her, and shes been doing her best to find time for us and to go to church. Yesterday we were having a lesson and she said something about baptism. (my comp didnt catch it, he was kinda just teaching the lesson.) But at the end of the lesson she just said. so what day can i be baptised? we were taken back. we told her that she should be married, and she didnt realize that she has to be married to be baptised. And then we talked about that families can be together forever. But now, shes determined to get married and then baptised. and then become an eternal familia.

We found a couple.(vilma and her husband) who are leaders in their church. But, have always chatted with mormons. and they wanna kow more. But if they visit another chruch. theyre pastor will get mad. so theyre scared. but my comp shared with them the story of Nicodemo and who he was a high up with the Jews and how he had changed to follow Jesus. So we did the same invatacion, that they could follow Jesus. they said, we will visit your church soon. but its kinda hard cause they bring the offerings of a weekly group to their pastor. But, theyll see. theyll progress.

We also found a little lady named Victoria. and she is like 100 years old (like 87) and she can read and see and everything (theres 30 year olds who cant read here) and was super posivite and was open to the idea of being baptised again. Because she realizes that her baptism may not have been 100% correct.

We also had a lesson with Marlon. Great dude we found last week, and we always ask if hes got questiones. and usuallly he doesnt but this week he did. He asked what kinda things he would need to do to be a missionary like us. He said that he has some friedns who were missionaries and he wants to go preach the goespel. But, he doesnt even know the gospel really. When we found him it had been a while without going to a church and now he wants to go represent one. Its awesome how the Lord can touch peoples heart and make them change.

this week i dumped a guy outta his wheel chair. and broke a pan. different days though haha. it sucked. but guy cant feel his legs so hes fine, lol

Also there was a little fight by this place where the gang hangs out. we would have passed by if we hadnt stopped to say hey to Selso and Maria(our favourite platano salespeople) and if this drunk guy didnt show us this boa and then killed it. but after the shots. we ran home haha the Lord protects us.

Love yall
sorry for writing in bold. i dont know how to turn it off

Week 47

Hey everyone, hows it going? We (Elder Agustin and I) and a heck of a week. it was a blast. My new comp is cool and weve been working super hard finding good people to teach.

Firstly, My new comp is named Elder Agustin, Hes from Quiche Guat. cool dude, reminds me a little of josh gad haha. But hes a small little chapin and hes dying. so hes gotta ton of expirence. We go running everyday, and today we went and summited a mountian.

So this week we had a lesson with a gal named wendy. Shes a reference of a lees active lady. Gloria Carcamo. We retaught lession 1 and asked her to pray about it, (shes a little slow and doesnt know how to read too well so thats why we taught again.) and she said, "I already did pray, i feel good so Ill keep listening to yall." and she wants to be baptised. Cool little miracle.

We also fasted this week, cause we have a lot of people who wanna be baptised and they have some problem that keeps them form being baptised. Like our investigator, Maria.(Grandma of ryan) The lady has been to church more in the past 2 months that the bishop has. And all she wants is a calling and to serve in the church. So to do so she oughtta get baptised. but she cant cause her husband Selso doesnt wanna get married. or go to church. So this sunday he camse to church. outta no where. and I asked maria how she got him to go. and she said that she got mad. and said come to church or leave. she ironed clothes for hime at 5 am so there would be no excueses and he coplained the whole way there. but he ended up liking it. whatta good little miracle. so were gonna get them married too. So stoked that he came to church maria was so happy.

Oh we also found a lady named Vilma and her husband named Jose or something,. and theyre good. They go to a different church. but they were very interested in the way that we explained everything. They said that the missionaries before left them with a lot of doubts like taht we worship Jose Smith and the book of mormon (we dont lol) and they were interested in the fact that we claim to have the autoridad of God just like the prophets in the bible.

Also this week i have been feeling the need to imporve. My comp has got a ton of expirence. And i feel like i just havent been doing the best i can do at teaching. He told me just to listen. Its funny, my dad has told me that probably my whole life. And then it just ckilcked, I just started listening. And oh man., im getting better. Im still a little awkward missionary. but improving at teaching with the spirit and listining to him. good stuff. we had a lesson where i just started talking, said what ever came out. and this lady we had contacted said, "i liked what you said" and she totally understood me, exactly how i would have hoped.

I love being a missionary, and a belliever in Christ. Its really awesome. I feel like theres so much more hope for those who choose to believe in Christ. Thats also something else i have learned, that we really choose to believe in Jesus. Its really a choice to be faithful or not.

Hope everything is going well. Pray for us here in the huracanes.

love yall
