Week 65

Hey yall. Hows it going? I had a good week here, ive been super busy. Hardly have had time to work here in the area. But, its been great. So Its been a hoot.

So on tuesday we were told that we were gonna have a meeting in Comayagua. So being ZLs we had to contract a bus and figure all that stuff out and on wednesday we were doing the same stuff and we also had to make a presentation, to teach in the meeting. It was cool, but lost a solid 2 days of work here in the area. On thursday we went to comayagua for the meeting, then we had to get all the missionaries back to their zones. Our zone is actually really big, it touches the other mission and el salvador so its huge. but i love it.

On friday we had a lesson with Mario and his family. He didnt make it to church this week becasue he got sick but thats fine. So Mario is really cool. so he lives outside of our area, but he comes and picks us up in his carro. cool dude, but this friday we got stranded in el socrro at night and it was cold. and there were no more busses. and Mario called us and (we had told him to meet us at church) he siad, "where are yall at?" we say, "out in nam." he says ill come and get you guys. so he came and got us and took us to his house and we showed him the video of the resturation of the gospel and he loved it and at the end we invited him to pray and he freaked, he said, "theres no other church that invites people to pray and ask god if the church is true." so he said he´ll pray" and after that, he gave us some dinner and took us home, and he thanked us for taking time to save him.

BUeno, really. im happy being here, i know yall read that i write "im happy" every week. but its cause i really am super happy here. and have really started to gain a stronger testimony in the Lord and that he loves us so much and that he has restored his church again.

Week 64

Hey yall. whats up? this week was great! My new comp is super cool, from mexico and is super chill. We havent contacted all week, be were having success. weve recived 8 references this week. and we had 4 in church.

One dude came to church from an hour away named Emilio. He just got back form the Estados Unidos after being there for tweleve years. Hes cool, hes talked to the elders his whole life but and wants to be sealed to his family and he says that he may or may not have been baptised while he was in the states. Which to me means that he never got baptised, cause how are you not gonna know if you got baptised? so hes down to get baptised again or for the first time (im 80% sure that its the first time.) and we´ll probably be doing that on saturday.

Also we started teaching this family: Mario, Krisi, and Mario´s 2 kids. (cant remember their names) And it was really cool. cause this guy has been talking to his friend Darwin for a long time about the churhc and has been going through a hard time, his getting divorced and living with Krisi. but he knows that his friend Darwin is mormon and said that he wanted to talk to us and so we went and taught him and he says that he feels like he´s had a great life with a few trials but he just feels that he hasnt put God first. So now he feels that its time to do so. SO he is super ready to learn more. and they loved church yesterday.

also in the week i traveled all over the country. just going to meetings and making sure the zone is all good. I love it. Traveling in buses is great.

But well. i dig being a missionary, Im so glad to be a part of the lords work and to be to have the peace of the gospel in my life. I know that it is the best thing that i have.

Week 63

hey everyine so this week is changes my comp rodriguez is leaving and im staying. and ima be zl with a guy named elder valdetano. he should be cool. the weather here has been super crazy cold. i have a cold. but its been a good. week weve been really busy helping the elders and sisters in the zone out. ive spent a ton of money on all the busses weve had to take. but it was really cool. i took a 2 hour bus ride on a school bus through the mountains. it was super cool. I really enjoy it here. the mountians are super bonitas. and theres a ton of pine trees. i like it.

but so the coolest stuff that has happend this week was first, we found a lady named norma. we were just out contacting and we saw a little humble home made outta adobe with a little metal roof. and so we say hey and we start talking and we talk about the plan of salvacion. and she kinda starts talking about her life adn starts crying and talks about how she wants her life to be better. and so we gave her a book of mormon, and in the next visit we asked her about how her reading went and she LOVED it! she said she read it once and felt that she had never read anything more true or more clear. and then she exlpained how she felt. and she started tearing up and said that it was unexplainable, she didnt know what it was but it felt peaceful and so she wanted to share that with her family so she read that chapter out loud to her whole family. she then accepted a baptismal date. and its a family of 9 so it maybe a little hard getting them to church but theyre already converted so theyll get there when they can. It was really cool.

also we FIALLY got Dominique to church. and he loved it! and so he says that hes gonna keep going. hes really good.

but yeah, so yeah. that was my week. Im just super happy to be here serving the lord. Its been a fine expirence so far. I would highly recommend it.
