Week 27

Okay so I have no time. But here we are. This week was killer, They call it Semana Santat, like holy week. And theryre all telling me that its the hottest week of the year and it barley got to 80 degrees and evedyone is dying lol. It was cool. the celebrate easter down here by going to the beach and getting drunk or by watching parades of jesus and mary.

So this week we had 5 investigadores in church and one of them we taught after church, her name is Karen, is nine and kinda likes to beat people up on the street. and we asked her, "what do you know about prophets?" she went off aboiut adam and the fruit. and said "it was actually eve who sinned, she was like, Im hungry, and ate the friut" super funny. but shes gonna be baptised in 2 weeks.

I caught Jodry High in the street yesterday after church, its a real vice, the drugs. but hes going back to rehab wednesday. so its a good thing.

we did a lot this weeek maybe ill tell yall about it next week. I spent all my time today trying to figure out how to send pictures.

But just a final thought. Well, I believe that Jesus is our christ and saviour and that he died and suffered for our sins and it is really cool to know that a very imperfect person like me can repent and change for the better. Im happy that i can share that with people down here, and with yall.

Week 26

OOOKKAyy! what a week Holy Cow! okay, so it started out, all the misionaries of the zone slept at my house. Wow, my house has never felt so small and hot it was like 86 degrees at like 3 am. it was nuts. i slept on the floor. we made a campfire too and made somres cause a lot of the elders have never tried them. it was a good time. and the next drive we had an 2hour drive. and it was great it was throiugh forests. and i opened the window and, oh man, the fresh air and pine has never been so needed.
so I had a good lesson with Jurden. And after he started asking us about serving a mission, its cool how a person feels good and wants to share that feelingwith other people. but his mom is kinda weird so well see where this all goes.

met a dude named edwin and he really wants to know more about the church. hes muslim and from california and speaks spanich and english but, can only read in english. but he was super open to the idea of the book of mormon and Profets in this time. so well see how that goes too. he kinda muslim so you know. hah

some funny things:
i met a drunk and he started to sing opera and tried getting me to hire him as a singer and pay him in dollars haha. and when he walked away he stopped and turned around to take a pic of us, but the funny thing is that he doesnt have a camera haha.
i baptised a guy named Isrian this week , he is an investigador of the Sisters. and he says that this is the best church in the world. but i had to put him under the water three times cause he just wouldnt go down. so the third time, i just threw him down ahah.
95 cucarachas

Well its been a great week. Pray for my investigadores haha

Week 25

Hey so this week was awesome! I had such a good time here in the Honduras. First, Confrence was great for those of you who didnt have the chance to listen, Look up general confrence talks. they were great, in spanish, but good stuff.

So for confrence we invited a ton of people! Two people actually showed up a girl named Yohanna, and Jurden. Yohanna is 11 and really wants to learn more about the church. her mom is a less active member and wants to start going to church again, she said to me, "life outside of the church just isnt the same" and its true, one has so much happiness when theyre doing the things they should. and Jurden was there too, this is the guy who said that chruch was boring and was hiding from us. But i went to his house with a different missionary and found him, were were like, "dude, come to church!" and he said, "im suuper tired i dont want to," then we siad,"dude, youll love it!" and he was like, "Okay." so, he dug it and is gonna go again and we gone start teaching him again. We visited him last night and he told us "we are really starting to be good friends" awe, melted my little heart. Good guy.

So the msquitos here are nuts. I cant believe i dont have zika yet haha, I get bit by like ten every day at least. And i got bit on my little eye, pour guy is a little swollen. Looks like i got punched lol, but, im literally camping so its good. haha

Week 24

Okay, so i had a weeeeek. haha. so there was funny things and good things. okay to start out, we had an activity in the church for people who are getting to know the church, and not a lot of people came, well on my part for other missionaries. but our investagadores didnt. but whatever, well find some people who wanna learn more about the church this week. and after the acticity a member yalled at us for not being good misssionaries and was super rude i couldnt believe it. but we just said, "hey thank for your help and stuff." lol, dude speaks english, i could have ended him, well i would have ended him. But ive changed a lot, dont really want to be mad and "end people" anymore, except for the boys talking to my sister @soph haha.

So i got to interview two people for ther baptisms this week, two kids, one is named Bivian and the other Diego. super special people, both super nervous that they wouldnt be baptized if they got questions wrong haha.

okay, so Jordy is back in his house and is on vacation from rehab. hes doing really well. But, hes going back to rehab in a month

so funny things that happened,
a dude was riding his bike and started swerving around and mad a honk noise and rode away laughing, theres a ton of crazy people here.
everyone thinks my name is raul?? Elder Owen.. raul?
my comp got super sick yesterday and threw up at a house of a member. and the dude is named oscar(hes super liberal haha) and hes studing to be a doctor right now. and just finnished studing herbal medicines. so my comp was fine. and slept in their bed for a few hours haha (familes here usually have one or two beds)

okay something a little bad, i tried to save a baby snake, and my comp said its gonna bite you and smahed its head, and i almost never wanted to eat meat again cause i felt so bad. kinda funny now, but still sad.

Sorry this looks like i just threw a ton of letters on the page, but hey im doing fine. I love the work and hanging with the hondurans.

Love yall

Week 23

Hey Yall, hows it been going in the EE UU? Hope its good.

So this week had some things happen. First today is changes, and everyone is freaking out, but me cause im training and i still have another 6 weeks here and i want to throw up. cause im sick of it here haha. but, im still here working and im gonna have a ton of success in this change.

So first about Martha and fernando. I met them cause i contacted a house and marthas daughter was there and she was like hey come back another day so we did and there was martha and fernando. so, we taught them and invited them to read the book of mormon and to pray and to be baptized, and they were down for everything. but then she said, "ive got a question, when does church start? Fernando and i were talking and i told him last night that we needed a church and now yall are here." Cool thing but, they sometimes live in olancho so well see what happens.

And with Jurden, he was in church last week, thought it was boring (mainly because the churches here are all like concerts the pastors talk in "tounges" and play some scary music behind them and they people are moshing crazy.) and so were gonna teach him a little more, so he can understand why we worship in reverance (if yalll didnt know, for me, when i feel the Holy ghost, its usually peace. and that comes by reverance) and before his lesson with us, there were missionaries at his door from another church, and they were angry that we were there. and i was like, "look. You can teach first we'll listen, then, we'll teach and yall'll listen." and tey got mad and walked off in a huff. Jurden told me "dang that was a super cool thing to say to them" Just cool that i could be an example of the believers.

funny things,
for those of you who know Chacos are super expensive. and a member here was chillin in a pair of chacos. and i said, hey, how much did those cost, "50 Lps" (like 2 bucks) normally they like 150 or something. super cheap lol.

Theres a convert named "Jose Santos" and santos means saints. After his baptism hes started introducing himself and Jose Saints of the latter days lol

Well, Im glad im here and i can share the restored gospel of Jesus here, and i hope that yall know, That i love the lord, and the work. And the book of mormon will change your life, so read it. Its super good.

Love Yall
