Week 55

Hey, so this week was something else. I cant believe that this change is almost over. I hope that i can stay here a little longer. I love this area and the people are great, and we just started working in another small town called tamara its real pretty. As well were going to an aldea maybe today or soon to visit some more people. Missionaries have never gotten to these places, its pretty exciting to go somewhere where missionarues never have been people look at us like were crazy (I mean we kinda are, right?) and people are receptive.

So this tuesday was good. We had a lesson with wendy. Pray for her, shes got a ton of things to pay for but no money, he husband is making adobe bricks as a job and the lady doesnt pay him. theyre struggling, but the other day eber (her husband) stopped us in the street and asked when we were gonna stop by that he has missed our visits. So thats great. and they wanna get married. but no money so were gonna see how much were gonna give her lol. cause its almost imposible that they raise the money themselves.

We have also been teaching a refrence of Pedro. Named Paola. Nice gal. she just has problems commiting to do stuff. and she wants money, but we are trying to help her feel the spirit so that she can see how God will bless her. Sometimes the people are super hard and dont understand that just a little sacrifice will bring them everything they need.

Also Danilo y Sofia are doing well. they are listening to us and we are gonna talk to her sister tomorrow cause she wants to knoww more about baptism and everything. But Danilo has a book of mormon and is reading it.

Wednesday was a special day. we knocked doors ALL DAY! and nobody answered. It was awesome! it was kinda tough. but everything happenes for a reason, maybe i was getting a little fat and God wanted me to walk around and looose weight lol.

thursday we walked out to tamara with the Bishop and we walked for an hour and a half and got to a house where a member doesnt live and walked back another hour and a half to cuidad espana. We did all this cause they might start a group out there so were gonna start working out there too. but we got home and were bummed cause we did have success out there either. so we studied in mosiah 18 to see how we could have success. (thats when a dude named alma preaches and baptises a ton of people) and so we left the house spiritually fed and got rejected a ton. then we went to dinner but at least we felt good about oursleves lol.

friday was the craziest day ever. the district meeting in the morning the zone liders came to tell us that were not working enough lol. then we went to an interview and the guy got there late and he was nervous and doubting if he wanted to be baptised or not so i had to help him out. and we finnished at almost 8 and there are no busses going to our area at eight and were in the area of the sisters so we could stay in there house. our zone leaders didnt wanna help us so we caalled the asistentants and they came form tegus and got us. and then they brought us to the zls house and we (my comp and i) had to share a curtian to sleep under and it was horrible we didnt sleep AT ALL. it was great. They were mad but the assistants were cool with us and mad at them so i was fine lol.

But yeah thats about my whole week . but im enjoying my self out here and learning a lot. I love reading now, and if yall arent you should start reading the scriptures. youll be a lot happier.

love yall

Week 54

Hey everybody, Hows it going? Im doing fine, I feel like i just wrote a weekly letter an hour ago. The time is going by so fast i cant believe it. Well this weeek we didnt really have a lot of time in our area we went to comayagua to have a meeting multizona. (I love comayagua so much.) And i got to go do a baptism interview in zambrano which is like two hours away and we were in the Divina Providencia, which is like an hour away so we were supposed to get there at 4 we got there at like 5ish. and it took so long waiting for a bus, we started walking there cause there werent any, and then finally there was a bus and it was full but we forced our way on. we ended up half way in and half way out riding up a mountain. I love Honduras lol. But the interview went great the Guy was ready and his mom was stoked to see him get baptised. So that was two of the days of the weeek working outside of my area. But something ive learned is when Im serving in the other areas God works in my area for me, so it balences out.

So this week we had a little miracle and had six investigatores in church, theyre really good people. Just some of them neeed to get married and thats complicated here. Others are little kids who dont have support form their families but are going to church. How cool is that.

But Daniel didnt go to church (i think its for his girlfriend, shes in a different congragation. And the pastores tell them that its a sin to listen to us. lol) so Daniel is doing really well. he just needs to make a decsion. he is reading the book of mormon, and he Loves it! but his mom doesnt like the church and he really respects her. so hes got some problems, but he'll be fine. But i was really bummed when he didnt get to church, like, church is a little thing we can do to show our faith. andfor me its really simple. go to church get blessed. who doesnt what blessings? Daniel cause he doesnt wanna go to church. jaja.

Weve also been visiting a guy named Danilo and his wife sofia. and hes super cool. he works at a metodist school and works with greengos. but everytime i go to there house the whip out the peanut butter and jelly and they tell me, "we know greengos love this stuff." Right now theyre not going to church, but. They will soon, Danilo saw General Confrence. he liked it. and wants to know more.

Oscar is a youth that we are teaching. He is 13 yrs old and a little difficult, he always has his friends over and they make him embarassed to listen to us. And he has a hard time paying attention. So when we go there weve started going when his moms not there, cause when shes there she just tells us everything wrong with her kid. and we just start talking with him. He always reads what we leave. and in the middle of our normal conversaciones he'll ask us something about the gospel. and yesterday he said that he wants to be baptised and his mom is a member so the permission isnt a problem. the only thing is is that he goes to another church and he only goes there cause they pay his scholarship. so he just has an hour to come to church with us then he goes to La metodista.

This week was halloween. we carved some sandias and put them outside with candles. and the day after some kids asked us if we had pumpkins.

My comp and i are doing well, hes funny. He literally breaks everything and is just a goofy goober.

Well I love yall

Week 53

hey everybody. hows it going? Im doing great. Loving my life here in Cuidad espana. This weeek has been goood, ive had better. But i for sure enjoyed myself. Actually this week has been super cold for a hurracane that has passed, like we couldnt sleeep cause it was so cold. all week haha. But i love the cold air its kinda nice.

So this week we spent a lot of time teaching, we have been visiting this family, the family palma cause their kid kaden doesnt wanna go to hell and wnats to get baptised. So were teaching them, but weve decided, cause hes a little kid of eight years old. that we would use videos to teach them. And luckily theyve got internet in thier house. so weve shown them a ton of church videos. theyre really great, last night we taught the Plan of salvacion. and even the family who are all members said that they learned some stuff that they never knew.

So with Vivian we have kinda stopped teaching her cause she said that she would need a few months to get baptised, and that she wants to be baptised but that she wants to be more perpared, but she never comes to church. lol how can you get prepard to be baptised if you dont go to church? heck if i know, but maybe ill ask her, im sure shes gotta plan, lol

As well Wendy is doing well, she couldnt come to church cause her babies have gotten sick and in the cold she cant take em out of the house.

theres tons of other people progressing. but i dont wanna write more my fingers are cold and tierd.

Well, i hope yall know that im happy for making the decision to serve a mission. Im happy to be here in honduras and to be a follower of Jesus Christ. And if yall arent following Jesus, youd oughta. Its a lot better that way.

love yall

Week 52

Hey everybody! So this week wsa my first week with Elder Del Hoyo. Its been cool. Hes cool, we get along really well, hes been sick.. Well weve both been sick but ive been taking care of him but hes really nice and tells me thanks for stuff.

So this week has been awqesome but yesterday was a little dissapointing. Hardly any of the investigatores came to church. But its fine. Not a big deal. Wendy couldnt come her baby is sick. Daniel had school,JOse and <Gloria got mad. maria and selso, i have no idea. But leila came, and shes really positive.

Leila is the wife of a member and when i first came here she was against the church but then she got super sick and left town. And she came back and now she loves the curch, she cant wait to get married so she can be baptised and be a mormon haha. She loves it. SHe told us about how she likes the peace that she feels in church, and i mean peace is the spirit so its gotta be true, right?

So Daniel didnt come to church but hes loving leartning more. He started reading the book of mormon and we gave him an assignment to read he loved it. (3 nefi 11- talks about Jesus and baptism and autoirity) and he asked us if he could keep reading the Book, but from the start.

Gloria and Jose are not coming to church anymore, cause, the rumor is, is that she only started going to church to get food. and we didnt give her any so she got mad and stopped coming, and then she got more mad when we wouldnt let her get baptised while being in foracation (unmarried) and so one day we visited the gal and she gave us beans and tortillas. and i got sick and so did my comp, and After the bishops wife tells us, hey dont eat with her she likes to do witchcraft. So, yeah.. Were not visiting her again, who curses somebody for not giving them food? lol

As well we were contacting and we found a lady with a dead goat so she was crying and everything cause shes a pastor of animales. haha and so we went and found Heber, wendys man. and said that we needed help buring a goat. he got his tools and went right to work, whatta guy. right?

well thats all folks

love
you
all
