Week 73

Hey everybody. This week was great we had some good lessons we worked hard we knocked doors for the first time in 2 changes and we found some people whoe are kinda interested in what we share. But hey we had a good week out in the mountians. We have been teaching Cristofer and hes doing fine, his aunt just works on sundays so he cant go to church alone cause he lives super far a way.


This week we chopped down some trees for firewood. and when people see us doing that they think its the coolest thing, (and my comp and i are good at choppin wood haha so we use that to get into the houses of the people haha) and so we went to visit the mennonite family that we are teaching and the mom wanted to tell us to come back another time, but in the path infront of their house there was a ton of wood to be chopped and so we said that we would do it for them. and so we could teach them and so theyre really receptive and hate their church cause they say that a lot of people are good on the putside (cause they dress like the ammish) but on the inside thier hearts are wrong. SO they dont like their church but are nervous to change cause you know, they church says a tone of things about us and how we worship, but we went out there with some members and they loved the members and the mom is super sick she had cancer like 5 times and was feeling ish when we were visiting so we gave her a blessing and she got better in an instant. They are super faithful, i love teaching them too because they know thier scriptures and want to leran more. But theyre doing well.

Week 72

Hey everybody! Hows it going we had a killer week! Well everything was weird but it was fine, i enjoyed it. So in these last two changes we have been working super hard with the members here to find less active members and to find people to baptise. So FINALLY we found some people to teach. We reactivated a guy name Hno. Joya. Cool dude, he got baptised in like 58. Hes really old. and cant see that well and cant talk that well ethier, but he said to us when we went to visit him that he has some friends that are members and they want their boy to be baptised. so he took us out into the mountians into a part where theres hardly electricity running water and people are living in adobe homes. and we found a little family of members and the boy christofer is wanting to get baptised. and on the way going to their house, my comp says to me, "these people look at us as if we were Jesus himself." and its true the people of this town were very excited to see us. and there we also found a Mennonite couple and they shook our hands almost bowning to us telling us how before missionarys visited them and how they would love to hear from us again.
So we went back yesterday. The mom hates the mennonite church, and doesnt wanna be a part of it anymore, but she was sick yesterday so we only shared a message with the daughters outside cause there dad wasnt there. we talked about the restuation and the book of mormon. they had tons of questions and knew the bible very well, but at the end of it all they told us to comeback and the dad got there as we were closing (hes a drunk) and thanked us for coming.
We also found a less active member that we have been looking for for about a month now. He was a missionary and everything. Just stopped going to church but we visited him and now his son is gonna be baptised too.
thats pretty much my week. Osbaldo didnt get baptised cause his mom. but well work on that this week.

Week 71

Hey everyone, hows it going? this week has been crazy. so Quienten L. Cook came to tegus this week. and we went and saw him. I was in charge of getting fifty missionarys there it was super stressful. But hearing form the apostl was awesome.


This week we didnt really have a lot of time to work in our area because of that, but we had a little bit of time and in that fime we did some good things. so one of them we got a guy that was a member for 50 year to be active again, so he went to church this week. adn also A guy named Jose, went to church again, we activated him. and in church he shard his feelings about being inactive and geting back to church and how he wants to go and helop people come back now, hes super stong in the church now.


also weve been doing a lot of service, because we dont contact that much. but, so we did some service for a SUPER cathloic lady that is the mom of some cool members that always hook it up with food and wash our clothes. and we chopped down a HUGE tree and so she just loved it. so she decided to come to church and said that she would be coming to church from now on.

Week 70

Hey everyone. Hows it going?


This week was really good. we are working really hard. there are a ton of really good people here that love the lord and want to follow him, but many are called but few are chosen. so these people dont end up progressing. For example, in my first change here (they are 6 weeks) we knocked doors from 10 till 7.30 EVERYDAY! it was a lot of fun we found a ton of great people they just didnt end up progressing. So we stopped contacting and we started to visit members. and they gave us some less active members who dont go and they gave us some references. so this week we reactivated 6, and had some investigatores in church. So thats a big deal for one week i guess.


One of those guys is Osbaldo, and he is cool. Hes like 17 hes the cathloic who studied in a semansry for 6 years. but he went to church this week and liked it. and he said that hes gonna come next weeek. so thats awesome. We taught him this week about the book of mormon. and the bible and how they go together. and at the end of the lesson he says, "so the book of mormon proves that the bible is true. and without the bible the book of mormon wouldnt make any sense." hes golden i swear.


With mario weve been teaching him but its been a minute, cause he needs to get a surgery. and his wife started going to school on sundays HA! what luck right?! But, well still be trying to help him out.


Also with armando a guy that weve been teaching, hes kinda turned a little tough with us, like we invite him to church and everything and he rejects the invatacion. its fine, the guy really doesnt understand the importance of believeing in god, cuase he doesnt go to any church. and hes just very closed, so i think were gonna put him on pause.


but everything is good. Im healthy, happy, and safe. the weather is really hot right now, but it get nice and cold in the night. yep.

Week 68

hey yall, hows it going? this week has been fine. We had a lot of success. Well, we didnt get anyone to church this week, but. it was a good week, and weve got some good investigatores that are progressing.


we started teaching a guy named armando. and hes cool, hes got TONS of questions. which is aweosme. he also is a JW. so its cool teaching him cause hes got his beleifs but still wants to learn more. and feels the need to be baptised, so you already know, hes gonna get dunked. (i might not do it cause changes are next week.) but itll happen.


we also found a guy yesterday who is the cousin of a memeber that we alwyas visit. his grandma died so now hes gonna move into her house for a year. He said to us last night that he had studied in a semenary of the catholic church for 6 years but, he likes to talk about God, and likes the idea of a mission. so well see what happens.


with mario, hes fine. just gonna need some more time, hes gotta get divorced still so he and his family can be baptised. But hes totally convertied. he even has the scripture app on his phone.love the guy, he also took us to dinner the other day. hes aweomse. and the best part about him is, is after talking to us or seeing us in church he alwyas asks, when are we gonna study again? he loves to learn about the goespel. hes awsome.

Week 67

hey yall its been a nice week. Ive been kinda distracted (helping my comp write a dear john lol or somethign like that) and dont wanna spend more time writing a letter.


but so we traveled to marcala and Jesus de otoro. Ive pretty much been camaping all week. I got sick from some bad food we ate.


and mario came to church! woo!
